Portfolio Site — Design & Development

Designed and built a personal portfolio website from the ground up with Jekyll & GitHub Pages. This project allowed me to explore new tools for website building.

As a site that would represent me, I wanted to bridge my background with my present — from growing up in Miami to living and working in California. I stayed within the color palette of my existing logo and built off the idea of Art Deco meets SoCal.

Being pretty familiar with using grid-based systems for designing, I wanted to use CSS Grid layout to structure the site on the development side. I used the grid as a guide and placed the elements in a playful way. I used Sass, HTML and JavaScript to complete the site.
