Can We Design Freedom?

Beyond the Physical Body with Dancer Gerald Casel

KQED is Northern California’s largest public broadcasting media outlet. This is a video collaboration between KQED Arts (a subdivision focusing on Bay Area arts + culture) and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (a contemporary arts center in San Francisco).

KQED’s mission was to collaborate with YBCA Fellowship cohorts on a few short videos that explore the question “Can We Design Freedom?” through different lenses.  This part in the series focuses on dancer and educator Gerald Casel. Through their work, YBCA Fellows seek to inspire community transformation and drive new possibilities into the public imagination, culminating in a bi-annual Public Square.
